The Serengeti is the stage on which all other safari ideas are measured. Fourteen thousand square kilometres of short-grass plains, kopjes and acacia woodland, where over a million wildebeest move in slow, deliberate circles with the rain.
A Serengeti safari is rarely just about checking off species. It is about scale: the herds stretching beyond the horizon, the silence broken only by a thousand hooves, the late-afternoon light turning the grass copper. Predators here live in numbers found almost nowhere else in Africa — lions in coalitions of fifteen, cheetahs on every kopje, leopards relaxed in sausage trees.
We design Serengeti itineraries by zone and by month, not by checklist. The Southern Plains in January–March for the calving season; the Western Corridor in May–July for the Grumeti crossings; the Northern Serengeti in August–October for the Mara River. Where you sleep matters as much as where you drive — we place you inside the migration, not beside it.

When to go
The Serengeti is a year-round destination, but the right month depends on where you want to be. January–March: calving on the Southern Plains. June–July: the Grumeti crossings in the west. August–October: the Mara River crossings in the north. November–December: short rains, green landscapes, fewer vehicles.
Wildlife
All members of the Big Five are present, with exceptional sightings of lion, cheetah and leopard. Beyond the migration, the Serengeti holds some of East Africa's most stable populations of elephant, giraffe, eland and the secretive serval.
